3C - Ocean Waves
3C’s artwork was inspired by the colours and textures of the ocean. Each student used a palette knife to carefully layer thick acrylic paint, creating soft, petal-like shapes that resemble waves, sea glass and flowing water. By using a range of blues, greens and whites, every piece has its own unique patterns and textures, just like the ocean itself.
The individual strokes were placed and layered to build a beautiful overall design full of movement and depth. This artwork reminds us that, just like the ocean, we are all made up of many different layers that come together to make something special and unique.

6/5M - The Zest Of Us
This vibrant artwork by 6/5M was inspired by the natural beauty and bold colours of citrus fruits - much like the class itself; bright, energetic and full of personality. Each student painted an individual segment, carefully using acrylic colours to the shades of orange, pink and green, capturing the juicy textures found inside each slice. The individual segments were brought together to form complete fruit slices, resulting in a lively and layered composition. This collaborative piece reflects the spirit of 6/5M — unique individuals coming together to create something vibrant, connected and full of life.

6/5N - From Little Things
6/5N’s artwork represents how growth begins in small and unnoticed ways. Each student used a mixture of paint and posca pens to create unique designs of circles and patterns. Each part starts as something simple, then expands outward into something more complex and layered. The flowing shapes connect these moments of growth, showing that nothing develops in isolation. Even the smallest beginnings can evolve into something full and beautiful over time.

2C - A Summer Of Fun
2C combined sun, sand, and teamwork to create a giant splash on canvas! Our beach scene comes to life with gentle waves rolling across the ocean and sea creatures swimming freely, reminding us how important it is to care for nature and all the life within it. The bright sun shines overhead, filling the scene with warmth and light. Along the shore, we painted colourful fruits, towels, and beach toys to capture moments of joy, sharing, and happy times with family and friends. This artwork celebrates teamwork, kindness, and caring for our world—while capturing the simple happiness of a sunny day at the beach.

KC - The Art Of Being Small & Dreaming Big
KC had come together to create this collaborative artwork, inspired by their vivid imaginations and the dreams they carry so freely. Each child began by drawing the things they love, small moments, big ideas, and everything in between before gently cutting, layering, and weaving their pieces into one shared story. Shapes overlap, colours speak, and every detail finds its place forming a tapestry of wonder, joy, and belonging. Within this piece lives a quiet reminder… of the magic of the inner child in all of us. The part that still wonders, still imagines, still dares to dream without limits.

6/5L - Copper Bloom
This artwork shows a plant cut out of shiny copper on a textured white background. The bright copper makes the flower stand out and shows how something simple can still hold immense beauty. The copper is strong, just like we can be strong when we try new things and face challenges. This artwork is about growing and changing, just like a plant. As people, we are always learning, growing and improving - becoming our own unique self.
Please Note: There is blue tape covering the beautiful copper flowers- we are working to get an updated photo shortly.

1/2N - Swimming Together
This artwork was inspired by the movement of water and fish. Each student painted curved blue brushstrokes to show flowing water, creating a pattern that moves across the page. The bright orange fish were added to stand out and represent each child, unique but part of the same group. Together, the shapes and colours show how we can all move in our own way while still being connected as a class.

1S - Together We Soar
1S’ class artwork, ‘Together we soar’, was inspired by the many different birds we see in our school playground. After exploring the colourful, layered style of Pete Cromer, our class worked together to create a Fairy Wren in a similar style. In pairs, students were responsible for a different part of the bird. They carefully selected and mixed colours, then painted a piece of card. We then cut out different shapes and assembled the pieces like a jigsaw puzzle to form our final artwork. Just like the bird, our class is made up of many unique parts. When we come together, we create something special and can achieve amazing things.

6/5A - Circles In Bloom
6/5A has come together to create a vibrant and collaborative artwork inspired by Kandinsky’s iconic circle studies. Each child has designed and crafted their own unique flower using carefully layered, textured coloured papers, resulting in a garden of individual creations. While every flower stands out with its own personality, style, and imagination—just like each child—together they form a striking and harmonious whole. Inspired by Kandinsky’s belief that circles can express emotion and individuality, this collective piece celebrates both personal expression and the beauty of working creatively as a team. The blend of bold paint, rich textures, and thoughtful composition makes this artwork a joyful and unified display of colour, creativity, and connection.

4M - Fantastic Mr Fox Pieces
Inspired by the whimsical, handcrafted world of Fantastic Mr. Fox, 4M has created a bold and eye-catching artwork that celebrates contrast and creativity. Using striking black and white tones, students explored the Zentangle technique, layering complex, repetitive patterns to form detailed and expressive designs. These patterns, built from simple lines and shapes show each student’s unique personality, imagination and creative voice.

4S - Pieces Of Us
This vibrant collaborative artwork celebrates individuality coming together as a whole. Each triangle was individually painted in watercolor by students, reflecting their unique use of color, texture, and expression—no two are the same. Together, the triangles form a dynamic mosaic, symbolizing how each person’s identity and creativity contribute to a stronger, connected community. The artwork is a reminder that when diverse voices come together, they create something truly powerful and beautiful.

2A - Imagination Blooms
Would you believe you can use a balloon to make a flower? In 2A we have wonderful imaginations and believe anything is possible. To create our artwork we put a marble inside a balloon, tied it in place with a rubber band and then turned it inside out. We blew the balloon up and dipped it in acrylic paint. Then we carefully pressed the balloon onto our backing board to create a flower print. Finally, the leaves and stems were added to really make our flowers bloom.
This artwork reminds us that it is important to let creativity and imagination blossom, because when you do you never know what might happen!

KS - Windows Of Wonder
This artwork was inspired by the colourful and energetic personalities of KS. Each house, with its shining window, represents the unique perspective and creativity of every child in our class. Together, these connected homes form our own special kindy community—a place where everyone belongs, learns, and grows. Through 'Windows of Wonder,' we celebrate the idea that our classroom is like a neighbourhood, full of warmth, curiosity, and friendship. Each window invites you to look inside and discover the amazing stories, dreams, and talents of our youngest learners.

3B - Floral Growth
3B explored how colours interact and transform when blended together. Each petal was carefully created using layered watercolours, producing a vibrant mix of greens, blues and reds. The white spaces between shapes act as natural highlights, giving the petals, buds and leaves a luminous, stained-glass effect.
The artwork illustrates the journey of a flower, from a small bud to a fully grown bloom. These stages of growth connect to our learning in science and reflect the idea that, like flowers, we are constantly growing and changing.

K/1H - From Caterpillars To Butterflies
K/1H’s collaborative artwork is a meaningful representation of growth, change, and the learning journey shared by all students in our class. The piece features a leaf, caterpillar, and butterfly, each symbolising a stage of development. The Kindergarten students are represented by the caterpillar, as they begin their school experience, curious, developing new skills, and taking their first steps as learners. The Year 1 students are symbolised by the butterfly, reflecting how they have grown in confidence, independence, and knowledge as they move into the next stage of their learning. The leaf provides a foundation for this journey, representing a nurturing environment where all students are supported to grow and thrive.

4/5H - Curious Cats Collective
Bursting with colour, character and confidence, Curious Cats Collective celebrates the joyful spirit of our classroom. Each playful cat represents a different learner - bold risk-takers, quiet thinkers, creative dreamers, careful planners and curious questioners - all bringing their own patterns, strengths and personalities to our class. Just like 4/5H, no two are the same but together they create something vibrant, balanced and full of life. This artwork is a tribute to collaboration, diversity and the magic that happens when individual talents come together. It’s a reminder that every learner has their own unique stripes and that’s exactly what makes our school so special.

1E - Together We Flourish
Inspired by the leafy beauty of Lane Cove West and the work of Chicago-based artist Laura Lynne, 1E proudly presents Together We Flourish. Each student painted a piece of card using a dry brush technique, creating textured strokes and rich, vibrant colours. The painted flowers were then carefully cut out and decorated with layers of shapes we have been exploring in maths, adding a colourful and playful element to the artwork. Just like the flowers in the vase, each child is wonderful on their own, but together we create something truly beautiful.
