Help Wanted - Thanks!

LCW has a proud tradition of having an active, supportive and dedicated P&C. This is made up of the Executive and the General P&C. In order to maintain this tradition the P&C are looking for parents, (dads, mums & others) who would like to join this great volunteer team in 2011.

Time is the only commitment we ask for:

  • Time can be given from home for some Executive positions and activities
  • Time can be during school hours
  • Time can be one activity that you focus on (lapathon, trivia, fireworks night etc)
  • Participate in the two Executive meetings per term (usually Monday at 7.30 in Week 2 and Week 6). These are relaxed affairs with refreshments and nibbles a must!
  • Participate in the two P&C Meetings per term (Monday at 7.00pm in Week 4 and Friday's at 9.30am in Week 8 for Terms 1-3).

General P&C

The general P&C are the unsung heroes of the school who keep so many activities going, without them we would not be able to provide so many special activities for our children.  Please consider helping out with Band, Canteen, Uniform shop and various admin and fundraising roles as they appear during the year.  The time commitment can vary from once a term to daily.

The work of the LCW P&C over the last 40 years has directly benefited our children by providing:

  • interactive white boards in every classroom
  • new play ground equipment with soft fall
  • airconditioning of classrooms
  • new and additional readers and library books
  • computers in the classrooms
  • teaching aids
  • teaching support
  • canteen, clothing shop, chess club, school banking, book club and band
  • grant applications for OOSH, COLA
  • and so much more.

Please consider lending a hand it benefits all our children now and for the future.
