Raffle Information

Each class is requested to sell raffle tickets at the Plaza, please check below to see when your class is rostered on. This year, we are also having a sausage sizzle at Thomas Dux in conjunction with selling raffle tickets so if your class is rostered on Saturday, October 24th, it includes running the BBQ in front of Thomas Dux. Everything will be provided, you just need to show up with perhaps your apron on!  Please note that this year's raffle selling had been reduced to 3 occasions and hence each class has to spend less time on this task. As always, thank you for your cooperation.

 Information Briefing for All Parents

This year’s Halloween Fireworks Night is fast approaching and preparations are well under way. The date is Saturday, October 31st, actual Halloween, and we expect another fun-filled night that brings our school community together.

For parents new to the school, Fireworks Night is our school’s biggest fundraising event and a must attend for all school families.  It is open to the community and everyone is invited.  It is an event that heavily relies on the volunteering spirit of our school families, so please budget a bit of time and effort in the lead up to, and on the night.

This year, we’ll have more rides for big and small, bungy-trampolining, a petting-zoo, craft, games and our very own Haunted House.  As usual, you’ll find a variety of tasty foods, a wine-and-beer bar, and treats for the entire family.  In the tradition of Halloween, we’ll have costume competitions in several categories and the pumpkin carving competition with great prizes to win.  The evening will conclude with the traditional spectacle of fireworks.

CLASS TASK

Each class will have an important role in staging the event.  Tasks include running food or beverage stalls, selling novelties, running game activities, or doing set-up/clean-up on the day. You’ll learn what your Class’ task is from your Class Parents.  Please make it easier for them by helping with the work and volunteering for the Halloween Night roster.

RAFFLE TICKET SALES ROSTER

In addition to the task allocated to your Class, each Class also has a rostered time selling raffle tickets at Lane Cove Plaza. Raffle selling dates are Fridays October 23 and 30 3-6pm and Saturday October 25 10-2pm.  On the Saturday, we will be running a BBQ at Thomas Dux in conjunction with selling raffle tickets.

Each class will only have to cover 1 or 2 hours; your Class Parents will let you know your allocated time slot closer to the date. If you cannot make your allocated time, please make arrangements to join another Class at the Plaza.

TICKETS

This year, we’ll offer pre-purchased entry tickets as well as family packages that’ll include armbands for the rides and most attractions, so please stay tuned for the order form closer to the event.

SPONSORS

We are most fortunate to welcome our corporate sponsors back this year. McGrath Lane Cove and Lane Cove Orthodontics have been once again most generous toward our school; please consider thanking them with your patronage.
