In addition to performing at school functions, the bands are committed to perform at several outside events.  Details will be updated here, via Chatters and email.  Please watch for these and mark the dates in your diary.  Please note that sometimes performance dates change due to unforeseen circumstances.

Term 2

Workshops (for both bands): Saturday, 22 May - 1:30 - 5:45 @ Chatswood High School

Ryde East Music Festival:  (both bands) Ryde East Primary School - Sunday, 30 May 

• Junior Band - meet at 7:50 AM 
• Senor Band - meet at 1:05 PM 

* Students need to be in their band shirts, long black trousers, dark socks and black shoes, girls with long hair to tie it back for all festival performances.*

Yamaha Music Festival: UTS Lindfield Campus  Tentative Dates and Times

• Junior Band - Monday, 28 June, 11:30AM  (new date!)
• Senior Band - Sunday, 20 June, 11:30AM

Term 3

School Band Festival UNSW Randwick

• Junior Band - 22 August - time to be confirmed 

North Shore Primary Festival: (both bands) TBA between September 17-19

Gala Night:  TBA in November/December

The Band program at Lane Cove West is expanding rapidly and looks to recruit new members from years 3 to 6 each year. A parent-run Band Committee ensures the band program is run efficiently and effectively in liaison with the professional Senior Band Director, Gavin Staines. The bands have a variety of performance venues during the year, including weekly performances at school assemblies, Fireworks Night, Carols in the School, concerts and Eisteddfods.
